OICE provided an active contribution to the EFCA Annual Conference on: Future Trends: talent. Tools and Technologies.
OICE's President Gabriele Scicolone and Vicepresident Maurizio Boi represented the Association at this event.
In his opening remarks, EFCA's President, Kevin Rudden, underlined how "Change cannot be withheld and that it must be understood, captured and integrated within Engineering Companies' management".
The Conference dedicated two slots to Italian Speakers.
In the opening session Maurizio Boi, promoter and coordinator of the EFCA Future Trends Task Force, highlighted the peculiarities of the second edition of the booklet EFCA and underlined how "In the Digital Era, collaborations is not simply necessary but it is inevitable" adding that "Cognitive collaboration is the collaboration between man and Artificial Intelligence".
Expressing his appreciation for Boi's contribution, Rudden underlined how turning words in deeds, he has set up and manages a virtual collaboration company from Sardinia.
Opening the Talent session, Elisa Maceratini's presentation emphasized how "Inclusion and Diversity are the most demanding challenges for the future sustainable management of Engineering and architectural companies".
Matteo Tancon of the company ITS located in Soligo (Venice) obtained a Mention of Honour at the Annual YP Competition for his monitoring techniques on Railway bridges performed with Alpinist skills.
President Scicolone expressed satisfaction for the third consecutive positive result by Italian YPs insisting that "One cannot address the Future without investing on YPs".
OICE has confirmed its willingness to organize the "2020" EFCA Annual Conference in Rome.
