The Italian Association of Engineering and Architectural Organizations (OICE) has appointed Giorgio Lupoi, CEO of Studio Speri Società di Ingegneria srl, as new President during the General Assembly meeting held on July 5th in Rome.
Giorgio Lupoi takes over OICE’s Presidency from Gabriele Scicolone for a four year period (2022-2026).
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, PhD in Earthquake Engineering and Master in Seismic Risk Reduction. Experienced project manager with a specialization in the construction phase. Expert in the evaluation of seismic vulnerability of complex systems and author of publications on the topic. In the last 20 years has performed (carried out) seismic verifications of hundreds of existing structures.
Expert in legislation, Giorgio is co-author of the “Commentario al Testo Unico dell’Edilizia” directed by P. De Lise e R. Garofoli (Codice dell’edilizia, 2008, Nel diritto Editore).
His collaboration with OICE started almost 15 years ago, and in the last years he has chaired the Vicepresidency for legislative affairs and dealt with regulatory issues.
Giorgio Lupoi assumes OICE’s Presidency well aware of the industry’s major challenges and he will improve the cooperation with international Institutions and players.
